Marvel noob fanfic #3: It HAD to be you??

"Cool it, Scott. Still not sure what's going on here," Hope said forcefully. She reached for Scott's hurt head one more time, but at him starting to yelp again, she gave up for the moment and looked around suspiciously.

"Search for a window or something," she said. "There must be a ve-"

"You two haven't found a way out yet?" Scott asked dubiously.

"You're really great at interrupting today, aren't you? Vent. I was going to say vent."

All of the sudden faint music started to play. Mr. Blue Sky?

".... Please no," Hank murmured.

"Quill?!"* Hope said incredulously.

"Who again?" Scott asked.

"That's "Star-Lord" to you!" said a voice over the music.

Hank was pinching his forehead. "I am not doing this again. Not after the...."

"Taxi Incident?!" "Quill"/Peter said nervously, peeking around a corner. Hank and him locked eyes and shuddered simultaneously. Hope and Scott were utterly confused and/or skeptical at how these two knew each other well enough to have "incidents".

"Not even going to ask..." Hope said.

"Well I am! Explain," Scott countered.

"Erm, well... said Hank, looking away.

"Let's just say being in a hospital for months isn't fun," Peter jumped in.

Hope exploded. ""T-Taxi Incident"?" she stammered angrily. "YOU told me nothing about any TAXIS when you had FIFTEEN broken bones!"

"Seventeen," Hank said, uncharacteristically timid. "Besides, it was his fault," he added quietly.

"MINE? MY FAULT?" Peter said with mock offence.

"Can we focus here? Not that I'm particularly unhappy with the yelling at Hank and all... "Work in progress"... hah," Scott said.

Hank was switching between glaring at Peter, rolling his eyes at Scott, and looking pleaful with Hope.

"Yes. Let's find a way out," Hope glowered. "And don't think you're out of this conversation, DAD."

Hank abruptly stopped looking relieved.

To be continued!
