Minecraft beginners: Your first world

For your first ever world, you can choose from a few different types: Survival, Creative, and Marketplace. Here are the differences between them:

1. Survival

This is the default setting for Minecraft. In Survival mode, you start out with nothing and have to collect materials to make a shelter from the mobs* of the night. Days last 10 minutes, as well as nights. As soon as the sun sets, hostile mobs will spawn and you do NOT want to be caught outside in the dark. Make a crafting table as soon as possible, as it will help you craft tools such as swords, pickaxes, and shovels.

2. Creative

In Creative mode, no mobs will attack you, you will have unlimited blocks and items, and you can fly! This mode is best for exploring, building structures, and experimenting with commands, and redstone modding. Players have made some amazing things in Creative mode. As Dr. Doofenshmirtz says, "Look it up, Joe!"

3. Marketplace

Minecraft has a "Marketplace" where some people can create worlds for other players to buy, although there are many free worlds as well. (44, I think.)

Hope this has helped you.

(Get the Doof quote? 😆 I'm so funny.)

See you next time!

*Short for "mobile", basically anything that moves.
