Multiplayer Minecraft
Minecraft was made to be multiplayer, so it's very easy to connect with friends. You will have four choices:
1. LAN:
LAN stands for Local Area Network. To use LAN, you won't have to be signed in, but you will need to be connected to the same WiFi as the friend you are playing with. Just select the friends tab and you will see any LAN games people are playing. Click to join.
2. Realms:
You will have to be signed in to use Realms. Realms is a subscription that is $8 a month. The subscription includes: Cloud storage for you worlds, 50+ free marketplace packs, and one world of your choice to be a mini server, enabling up to 10 friends to see and join your world at all times, even when you are not online!
There is also a $4 version, with a mini server allowing you plus 2 friends to play on, visible at all times.
3. Servers:
You will need to be signed in to play on servers. Servers are massive worlds that a looooooooooooooot of people play on. They most often are mini-game servers where players will compete to win, but there are also survival servers, creative servers, and more! There will also be survival mode and creative mode games at some servers.
4. Friend's worlds:
You will need to be signed in to play at your friend's worlds. You probably have some epic worlds, right? Roller coasters maybe, skyscrapers, perhaps a great survival world? Well, you can share that awesomeness with up to 5 friends, and it's super easy! Just go to that world, go into pause, select invite to world, and chose the friends you want to join! If you want to join one of your friend's worlds, then just go into the friends tab, and you will see all of the worlds your friends are in.
Can't wait to go and play with my buds! (And I have a lot of buds.) Look out for P1kachu6220 and STRaY458 out there on servers! Bye for now!
I have never actually used Realms, so I am sorry for any misinformation 😅
